Thus, my line is heavily Moraine-oriented. Several months later, Am/Can Ch Huntwood's A Puppy For Dee ("Alanna") joined my kennel. Alanna is that one good bitch that can be so difficult to come by - sired by Am Ch Darbywood's Super Star (a Bravo Star Buck son), and her dam is Am Ch Moraine Promise By Tiger (a Hold That Tiger daughter out of Mareth's famous "Promise" line).

The following year a handsome young son of Am Ch Finlair Scottshire Mako would join his half sister Alanna, here at our kennel. Between Alanna and Desi (Am/Can Ch Huntwood`s Hollytroy Designer) my dreams as a breeder of fine Airedales were about to come true. Desi went Best Puppy In Show at his very first show in Canada, and he was Canada's #2 Airedale Terrier Dog that year, after only a few months' showings. We were so thrilled - and proud!
Many years ago I happened on a marvellous little book about Airedale Terriers written by the late Irene Hayes. I decided right then and there that one day I would have an Airedale!

Sixteen years would pass before acquiring my first show Airedales: a dog and a bitch puppy from Kitch Kennels in Nova Scotia. Their bloodlines were of the English Saredon lines. I named my two puppies Holly and Troy, hence, my kennel name “Hollytroy”. Holly produced only one female who we had to spay at two years old, thus I needed a new foundation if I was to carry on my dream of producing a line of quality Airedales.

So Janet Johnson Framke put me in touch with Scott and Susan Kipp of Huntwood Kennels in Wisconsin. Scott’s mother is Mareth Kipp, owner of the very successful Moraine Kennels.
In 1999 I imported another Huntwood dog – – my “icing on the cake dog", BIS Can/Am Ch. Huntwood Maverick 'N Hollytroy. Maverick is a Finlair Tiger Of Stone Ridge grandson. I feel truly blessed for where in North America today would one find a dual-titled, intact Gator grandson? Maverick's sire is BIS Can/Am Ch Moraine Hold That Tiger, and his dam - Am Ch Huntwoods Garnet.

These three dogs have either directly or indirectly honoured me twice as "Breeder Of The Year", given me successive generations of Best In Show Dogs, and have themselves been among Canada’s top Airedales, and produced Canada's #1 Airedale Terrier in 2000 and Canada's #2 Airedale in 2001. A number of their offspring are Specialty winning dogs both in Canada and in the US.

If you study the pedigrees of these three dogs, you'll see a closely line-bred pattern, and that is the basis of my careful breeding program's selections – very limited, typically one litter per year (or less). Actually, I breed only when I desire to add to my line and breeding program.

Besides breeding and showing, I am the mother of three grown daughters - and four granddaughters who socialise and keep all my puppies and big guys "kid friendly". I spend most of my time at home with our dogs who are all loved, bringing us lots of laughs in 'expected Airedale style'.
My small family kennel is situated on the banks of the world famous Miramichi salmon river in New Brunswick. All my ‘dales live in the house and all are a part of our family. You might say it is wall-to-wall Airedales around here!
History • Careful Breeding • Love
Every Airedale that we breed and own is home-raised, cared for, well-socialised, loved and a part of our family.
Whether in the ring or at home.
